Chaos
We started guestmob because we saw chaos. Chaos in how hotels price hotels, chaos in how hotels discount rooms, and chaos and frustration for customers scouring the web looking for deals.
Rate parity
Consumers looking for hotel deals spend hours online searching for discounts, yet there is a little known rule in the industry called rate parity: for a specific hotel/date, all channels sell at the same rate. That means Expedia, Orbitz, Priceline, Kayak or the hotel websites all show the same rate for a specific hotel/date, and all that searching is a waste of time.
Hotel roulette
In this status quo, users are forced to play hotel roulettes to get deals. One has to choose between: secret hotels, complex bidding formulas, non-refundable booking, last minute booking on smart phone at 11:21AM the day of your check-in… All of these constraints make booking a hotel a painful and stressful scavenger hunt while you’re planning a trip.
